Father Time^TM

Father Time is a Movement by Dads for Dads. We spend time with our children learning more about them and allowing them to get to know more about us as Fathers and Leaders.

The Father Time™ Program consists of 3 components:

1. Professionally facilitated peer-led community-based support groups.
2. National Fatherhood Initiative Fatherhood Program 24/7 DAD™ curriculum
3. Father Planned Community-Wide Family Activities

Membership is open to any male in a parenting role, is free, open-ended and peer-led.

The 12-wk 24/7 DAD™ curriculum is offered a minimum of twice per year, with make up sessions offered throughout the year so fathers can join at anytime.

The community activities are planned and executed once per quarter at each site.

• Children with involved, loving fathers are more likely to do well in school, have healthy self-esteem, exhibit caring, and avoid high-risk behaviors such as drug use, truancy, and criminal activity.
• Studies reviewed by the National Fatherhood Initiative, found that father love was as important as mother love in predicting a child’s emotional and social health, happiness, and academic success.
• Families who have mothers and fathers involved in their children’s lives are stronger, safer families.
