Parents, Professionals, and Community Partners Come Together for the 2026 Annual Parenting Conference
On June 11, Parents Inc. of New Jersey welcomed parents, teens, caregivers, professionals, and community partners to the New Jersey Department of Children and Families Training Center in New Brunswick for our Annual Parenting Conference—a day dedicated to learning, connection, and empowering families.
The conference brought together people from across New Jersey who share a common goal: building stronger families and healthier communities. Throughout the day, participants explored practical strategies, discovered valuable community resources, and connected with others who understand the joys and challenges of parenting.
One of the conference’s central themes was the importance of parent voice and peer support. Through engaging workshops and meaningful conversations, attendees had the opportunity to share their experiences, learn from one another, and build lasting relationships with fellow parents, professionals, and community organizations. The event reinforced an important message: parents are the experts on their own family journeys, and when families are supported, children thrive.
This year’s workshop lineup offered something for everyone, covering topics that addressed the real-life challenges families face every day. Sessions included:
- Conversations to Normalize Upstream Youth Mental Wellness
- Budgeting
- Leading with Love Through Mental Health & Wellness
- Paint Youth Path
- Showing Up with Care
- Disability/Family Leave
- Parenting Through the Storm
- Empowering Parents as Mentors, Leaders, & Change Makers
- Your Voice Has Power: Telling Your Story
- Turning Passion and Purpose into Profit
These interactive workshops provided participants with practical tools, fresh perspectives, and resources they could immediately apply in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
