Congratulations Jeff Johnson!

Jeff Johnson is a proud father, recent grandfather to four, and a lover of the outdoors. Jeff has been a licensed clinical social worker since 1986. He worked for a decade in intensive adolescent inpatient and psychiatric day programs, and has provided in-home therapy. Since 1999 Jeff has worked for Keansburg School District providing school-based therapeutic services, and most recently serves on a Child Study Team.
In 2000 Jeff linked up with Parents Inc. of New Jersey to gain knowledge and experience to serve parents in a group modality—right in the school system. He felt an instant kinship to the Parents Inc. model, using shared leadership and empowerment approaches to support and promote parents in their real-life struggles. This community collaboration led to founding Father Time in 2005. The group was founded, forged, and is sustained by an altruistic group of loving dads from the local community. This collaboration and bond have been a North Star in Jeff’s career, as Father Time continues to provide free small group meetings where dads can share intensive parts of their fathering journey, embraced by other dads who are also on the path. Jeff and these dads have honed a time-tested model using a Father’s Council, and member-designed, popular community activities- to share their love and expertise with their community. This model has been promoted through Parents Inc. throughout the state. Activities include: a Father-Daughter Dance, Dad’s Retreat, Fishing Derbies, Community Camping Trips, Pictures with Santa, and many other points of community connection. Simply put, the dedication and awesome support of the Parents Inc. Team has been the wind in our sails for our unique project.
As he cruises the towards retirement on the Barnegat Bay in his beloved 13 foot restored 1971 Boston Whaler, Jeff remains especially energized about turning young people on to the wonders of the outdoor world, and believes in the incredible power of nature to heal and restore the human spirit.
